Translation: Who may decide how a court rules in an individual case?

  • ✓ Ingen utomstående – domstolarna är oberoende No outsider – the courts are independent
  • ✕ Regeringen The government Your answer
  • C Riksdagen The Riksdag (parliament)
  • D Justitieministern The Minister for Justice

Not quite.

According to the Instrument of Government, neither the Riksdag, the government nor any authority may decide how a court rules in an individual case. This independence protects legal certainty and is part of the separation of powers.
