Translation: For how many consecutive years must a citizen of a non-EU country be registered as a resident (folkbokförd) in Sweden to vote in municipal and regional elections?

  • ✓ 3 år 3 years
  • C 5 år 5 years
  • D 10 år 10 years

Not quite.

People who are not Swedish citizens may vote in municipal and regional elections if they have been registered residents in Sweden for three consecutive years before the election. EU citizens and citizens of Iceland and Norway do not have this time requirement.
