Gruvbrytningen under staden orsakar markrörelser och sprickor, så delar av Kiruna flyttas österut. Det är gruvbolaget LKAB som driver malmbrytningen.

Mining beneath the town causes ground movement and cracks, so parts of Kiruna are being moved eastwards. The mining company LKAB runs the ore mine.
