Michiel de Ruyter was een van de beroemdste admiraals uit de Gouden Eeuw. Tijdens de Tweede Engelse Oorlog viel zijn vloot in 1667 de Engelse schepen bij Chatham aan.

Michiel de Ruyter was one of the most famous admirals of the Golden Age. During the Second Anglo-Dutch War his fleet attacked the English ships at Chatham in 1667.
