De AOW is een volksverzekering: voor elk jaar dat je in Nederland woont of werkt, bouw je 2% op, tot 100% na 50 jaar. De Sociale Verzekeringsbank (SVB) betaalt de AOW uit.
The AOW is a national insurance scheme: for every year you live or work in the Netherlands you build up 2%, reaching 100% after 50 years. The Social Insurance Bank (SVB) pays out the AOW.
