Op Nederlandse scholen trakteert de jarige zelf, bijvoorbeeld met een gezonde snack of een snoepje. Vaak gaat het kind ook langs bij de juf of meester en andere leraren.
In Dutch schools, the birthday child gives out treats, for example a healthy snack or a sweet. The child often also visits the teacher and other teachers.
