The Free Travel Scheme gives free travel on many public transport services to eligible residents aged 66 and over. It is run by the Department of Social Protection and linked to the age for the State Pension.
Free Travel Scheme (bezmaksas ceļošanas shēma) nodrošina bezmaksas braucienus daudzos sabiedriskā transporta pakalpojumos atbilstošiem iedzīvotājiem vecumā no 66 gadiem. To pārvalda Department of Social Protection (Sociālās aizsardzības departaments) un tā ir saistīta ar valsts pensijas vecumu.
