The Acts of Union 1800 joined the Kingdom of Great Britain and the Kingdom of Ireland from 1 January 1801. Great Britain itself had been formed earlier, in 1707, by the union of England and Scotland.
De Acts of Union 1800 voegden het Koninkrijk Groot-Brittannië en het Koninkrijk Ierland samen met ingang van 1 januari 1801. Groot-Brittannië zelf was eerder, in 1707, ontstaan uit de unie van Engeland en Schotland.
