The Act redistributed seats in the House of Commons from tiny, almost empty boroughs to large industrial towns and widened the vote a little. Still only a minority of men could vote, and women had to wait until 1918 for the first votes.
Ustawa przesunęła mandaty w Izbie Gmin z maleńkich, niemal wyludnionych okręgów do dużych miast przemysłowych i nieco poszerzyła prawo głosu. Wciąż głosować mogła tylko mniejszość mężczyzn, a kobiety musiały czekać na pierwsze prawa wyborcze do 1918 roku.
