The Act redistributed seats in the House of Commons from tiny, almost empty boroughs to large industrial towns and widened the vote a little. Still only a minority of men could vote, and women had to wait until 1918 for the first votes.
Laki jakoi alahuoneen paikkoja uudelleen pienistä, lähes tyhjistä vaalipiireistä suuriin teollisuuskaupunkeihin ja laajensi hieman äänioikeutta. Silti vain osa miehistä sai äänestää, ja naisten oli odotettava ensimmäisiä ääniään vuoteen 1918.
