Igapäevaelu
You have old Royal Mail stamps marked '1st' with no price printed on them. The price of a first class stamp has since gone up. What is true?
Tõlge: Sul on vanu Royal Maili postmarke kirjaga „1st“, millele pole hinda trükitud. Esimese klassi postmargi hind on vahepeal tõusnud. Mis on tõsi?
-
✕ They are only valid if you add a 10p stamp Need kehtivad ainult siis, kui lisad 10-pennise margi Sinu vastus
-
B They expired at the end of the year they were bought Nende kehtivus lõppes ostuaasta lõpus
-
✓ They are still valid for first class post at today's rate Need kehtivad endiselt esimese klassi postiks tänase hinnaga
-
D They can only be used for letters inside your own town Neid saab kasutada ainult kirjadeks oma linna piires
Päris mitte.
Stamps showing '1st' or '2nd' instead of a price are 'non-value indicator' stamps, so they stay valid at the current rate even after prices rise. Note that older everyday stamps without a barcode had to be swapped for barcoded ones from 2023.
Margid, millel on hinna asemel „1st“ või „2nd“, on väärtust näitamata margid (non-value indicator), seega kehtivad need ka pärast hinnatõusu kehtiva tariifi järgi. Pane tähele, et vanemad ilma vöötkoodita tavamargid tuli alates 2023. aastast vahetada vöötkoodiga markide vastu.
