What did the Great Reform Act of 1832 change in the UK?

  • A It gave all women the right to vote
  • ✓ It gave seats to growing industrial towns and ended many 'rotten boroughs'
  • C It abolished the House of Lords
  • ✕ It created the office of Prime Minister Your answer

Not quite.

The Act redistributed seats in the House of Commons from tiny, almost empty boroughs to large industrial towns and widened the vote a little. Still only a minority of men could vote, and women had to wait until 1918 for the first votes.
